'Top of the league beaten'

After 7 games Police finally win and away at Stockingford AA who were top of the league.  A deserved victory with goals from Tom Smith with a wonder strike and a Danny Bates penalty secured the first win. All this and a missed penalty by Tom Smith!

'Illusive win'

Police again drew this time with Leamington Hibs at home.  Tom Smith snatched his first goal of the season from the spot but we again defended poorly and allowed an equaliser.  I it was not for injuries towards the end the result would have been different.

'Still seeking first win'

Police again saw the lead slip on two occasions against Kenilworth Town, taking the lead through Danny Bates goal and again with an individual goal from Paul DeGroot, but the points were shared through poor defending.

'Disappointing run continues'

Following the opening game of the season where we gained a good away draw at Heather results have slipped and performances have slumped.  Whilst this season we appear to have a much stronger squad of players results have not reflected this and defeats against Ettington and Mile Oak Rovers were disappointing.

'New coach appointed'

Following the recent AGM Steve Clements has joined Ron Harvey and Rob Sutton as coach to the police team. Steve has been involved in police football for a number of years and has recently undertaken his coaching badges.  The appointment is welcomed by the management team and we hope that this will further improve the quality of the police team.
