Bolehall Swifts - Bench Talk

Welcome to everyone from Bolehall for tonight's early season fixture here at Tally Ho! As we seek to bounce back from a disappointing 2-0 defeat at Pershore Town.

Our lengthy injury list has added to the early season difficulties of holiday commitments and tested the depth of the squad. The first 45 minutes at Pershore was an evenly fought affair and quite a decent game of football. We perhaps even edged the play and goal chances, however, we conceded a blatant offside goal in injury time and never recovered from that point onwards. In fact, I am not even sure that we came out on the field for the second period and were fortunate to only concede one more goal.

This result followed on the back of a 1-1 draw with Alveston on the preceding Saturday where a first half strike from Ollie Latchford gave us the lead that we probably should have increased during that period. Once again, our second half performance was below par and we paid the penalty when Alveston equalised with fifteen minutes to go.

The plus points from the above two games are that Richard Knott made his debut in goal at Pershore and Dave Harnett made a welcome first start of the season at Alveston. We still have a lengthy injury list for tonight's game and Kevin Usher remains unavailable due to work commitments, although he is available for about the next five games.

We hope that you enjoy this evening's game and look forward to seeing you down here next Saturday when Handrahan Timbers provide the opposition.
