A
rare goal from Lyndon Price was enough to secure
a first league win in 2003 for a West Midlands Police
side that bounced back well from their mid-week
defeat at the hands of Fife Police in the National
Police Athletic Association Cup.
In
an end to end game West Mids always had the upper
hand with front runners Mark Bellingham and Mark
Delaney a constant threat to the visitors.
The
winning goal came on 75 minutes when Delaney swung
in a deep corner which evaded Fernhill’s goalkeeper
and Price was on hand to volley home.
