In a poor, niggly game, Feckenham
took the points with two second half goals. West
Mids created a good chance in the first half, on
five minutes when Paul Shaw and Andy Reece combined
well to set up David Blake but a weakly struck shot
was easily saved by the Feckenham keeper.
Darren Carmell in the Police goal
was called into action on 11 minutes to save a fierce
angled drive after the home forwards sprung the
Police offside trap. At half time Police brought
on substitute Michael Mason who instantly caused
problems for the home defence. But it was Feckenham
who went ahead on 60 minutes when the Police defence
only half cleared a deep cross and the home side’s
number 7 fired home from 10 yards.
West Mids went close to equalising
when a Reece throw-in found Blake who turned his
marker but he saw his well struck cross-shot palmed
away for a corner. Feckenham sealed victory on 84
minutes from the penalty spot after Carmell, left
stranded, brought down the Feckenham number 9.
