West Midlands Police 3, Rugby Town 3

West Mids held league leaders Rugby Town to a draw in a six goal thriller At Tally Ho!

The home side went ahead on 12 minutes when Gaggy Bedi fed Jonathan Adams who hit 20 yard shot into the top corner of the net.

Rugby equalized a minute into the second half when the Police defence failed to clear a deep cross and Danny Finlay headed down to Leon Morgan who blasted home from close range. Worse was to follow for West Mids on 55 minutes when from a corner kick, keeper Darren Carmell, under pressure, sliced his attempted clearance over his own goal line.

West Mids battled back and on 75 minutes, substitute Martin Brown, with his first touch to set up Jonathan Adams who slotted the ball home from 12 yards.

Five minutes from time Rugby regained the lead when slack Police marking from a free kick let in Morgan to stab the ball home from close range.

West Mids would not be denied and on 89 minutes, Richard Cox played a pin-point ball out of defence to Mark Bellingham who controlled the ball and unleashed an unstoppable 35 yard drive into the top corner of the net past the helpless Oldfield
